here's a little bit about why I do what I do.

Hello!

I'm Sarai, the heart behind Pressed and Bloomy. I started my flower preservation business during my own wedding planning, and it was one of those "aha!" moments that just felt right. I’ve always loved being creative, and when I discovered the world of flower preservation, I knew it was the perfect way to merge my passion for flowers and art.

Growing up in California and Utah, with a rich Mexican heritage and some time living in Italy, I've developed a deep appreciation for different cultures and art. After earning degree at USU, and being a first generation college graduate, I made the leap from my career in human resources to focus on Pressed and Bloomy full-time after my first baby was born.

When I’m not in my studio, you can find me cooking for my family and friends, diving into different design inspirations (from home and fashion to art), or learning something new. I’m fluent in three languages and have an insatiable love for travel. Balancing motherhood and running a business has its challenges, but I make the most of nap times and evenings with my husband’s support.

My favorite part of my work? Turning wedding flowers into pieces of art that last a lifetime. There’s something magical about taking each flower through the preservation process and seeing it transform into a cherished piece that’s as beautiful as it is meaningful. I can't wait to create something special with you!

xoxo,
Sarai

Everytime I create a frame I ask myself, would I hang this up in my house?
